Excerpt from a book titled Memoirs of an Insignificant Dragon examines the role that American civilians living in Southeast Asia played during the Vietnam War. The donated chapter deals with the lives of Doughty and her son while they were living in Vietnam during the coup that resulted in the assassination of Ngo Dinh Diem and Ngo Dinh Nhu in November 1963.
