Slides, photographs, artifacts, uniforms, scrapbooks, and additional material document Jennifer Young's experiences as an American Red Cross Donut Dolly serving in Vietnam from 1968-1969. There is also a DVD with a video produced for the July 2005 Donut Dolly Reunion in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Biographical / Historical
Jennifer Young served as an American Red Cross Donut Dolly in Vietnam from 1968 until 1969. While in Vietnam, Jennifer Young was based at Dong Ba Thin, the headquarters of the 18th Engineers Battalion and 192nd Assault Helicopter Company; Tuy Hoa Air Force Base; Cam Ranh Air Base; and Camp Enari (near Pleiku), where the 4th Infantry Division was based. While stationed at a base, Donut Dollies also traveled to area unit locations to provide recreational activities to servicemen in Vietnam.- 251
