I. Thomas Sheppard arrived in Vietnam in June of 1965 as a member of the United States Army, Military Intelligence Branch. From 1965 to 1966, Sheppard served as Chief Intelligence Briefing Officer to General William C. Westmoreland. Sheppard has held the ranks of Major and Lieutenant Colonel.- 7
