Robert Santo was in the U.S. Air Force with the 223th Tactical Fighter Squadron when he volunteered for South East Asia duty. From May 1969-May 1970, Santo served at Ubon Thailand as a Load Crew Chief, loading and unloading aircraft munitions.- 1
