Book titled Heart of the Third Sector/Hill 55: A Vietnam Combat Report documenting combat that took place in the Hill 55 area during the Vietnam War from approximately August 1965 to August 1972.
Biographical / Historical
George Hill was born in Houston, Texas on 12 April 1949 and raised mainly in Pasadena. On his 17th birthday Hill took his physical to enter military service, but failed twice due to a heart mytrol valve problem. Hill then paid 50 dollars to a civilian M.D. for a letter to enlist in the military. George Hill attended boot camp in San Diego and after continued training he was sent to Vietnam in August of 1967. He reached the rank of Corporal and finished his enlistment exactly four years after joining. After attempting civilian jobs in Houston Hill joined the United States Coast Guard.
