Biographical / Historical
James Aubuchon was born in 1946 in Merrill, Wisconsin and volunteered for the United States Air Force in 1964. Aubuchon served in the 56th USAF dispensary, but worked in the field as a member of 'civic action.' While a member of civic action Aubuchon worked as a medic in civilian clothes in a small village in northeast Thailand. While serving in southeast Asia Aubuchon was stationed officially at Nakan Phanom Air Base in Thailand, but actually worked at a remote isolated duty station at Tambon Tan Kon. Aubuchon achieved the rank of Airman First Class and during his service was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Aubuchon was discharged from active duty in 1968 and is a member of the Thailand, Laos, Cambodia Brotherhood.
