Dr. Arthur (Art) Paul Herrmann, Jr. was born 6 July 1939 in Washington, D.C. He received a degree in Pharmacy from George Washington University in 1961. After graduation Herrmann enlisted in the United States Army Medical Corps as a Lieutenant and served from 5 January 1963 until he was honorably discharged on 4 January 1966. During his tour of duty, he served two years in Vietnam and achieved the rank of Captain. After his service in the United States Army, Herrman graduated from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Hermann served as the director of Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute, the Director of Pharmacy of a mental health facility in Hollywood, Florida, the Pharmacist-in-Charge at the Belite Medical Center and CVS Pharmacy in Fairfax, Virginia. Arthur P. Herrmann, Jr. passed away on 28 August 2003.- 749
