Scope and Contents

Tien Nguyen's documentary titled The Story of Spirits documents her escape from Vietnam with her father and her three siblings while her mother and unborn sister stayed behind following the fall of Saigon in 1975. The DVD used original materials and dates from 2006.

Biographical / Historical

Tien Nguyen escaped from Vietnam as a child with her father and three siblings following the fall of Saigon in 1975. She received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of California at Los Angeles and her M.F.A. in screenwriting from the University of Southern California. She is the director, producer, editor, and writer of The Story of Spirits .
