Scope and Contents
Less than one linear foot of photographs, a training manual on finding and destroying Viet Cong tunnels, operation reports from the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry and the the 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry, document Ben G. Crosby's service in Vietnam. The materials date from the war era.Biographical / Historical
Ben G. Crosby served in the 82nd Airborne, 1st Cavalry, 25th Infantry and the 101st Air Assault Division. Crosby commanded Battalions in Europe and the 101st Air Assault Division. He then served as an Operations Officer for the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry in Vietnam. Crosby then worked as a member of the Modern Volunteer Army. As part of the US Army Combat Developments Command, Wrote the Integrated Battlefield Control System that was utilized in the First Gulf war. Ben G. Crosby was also the Executive Officer of the 1st Regiment at the United States Military Academy. Crosby was awarded two Silver Stars, two Legions of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal, four Bronze Stars and more than 25 other decorations from the United States and the Republic of Vietnam.- 2
