Scope and Contents
Over twelve hundred photographs taken by James Kidd document his service as a US Navy Intelligence Officer in South Vietnam from 1965 through 1966. Images document a variety of subjects, including: soldiers on patrol in rural areas, aerial photographs, Vietnamese men and women (possibly mugshots), Vietnamese life and culture, and Saigon river and street traffic. Also included in the collection are a series of graphic photographs documenting wounded and dead Vietnamese, noted to be the victims of terrorist attacks by Viet Cong. Another series of photographs depicts documents captured by the US Military.
