Less than one linear foot containing a play 'The Sihanoukville Inquiry', a book entitled 'NILO Ha Tien', both written by H. Lawrence Serra, and copies form the National Archives at College Park, Maryland document H. Lawrence Serra's service in the United States Navy.

Biographical / Historical

H. Lawrence Serra was born December 3rd, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. He volunteered for the US Navy in 1966 and served for a total of three and a half years, teo of which in Southeast Asia. He served on the Intelligence staff for the Commander Naval Forces Vietnam, Admiral Zumwalt and volunteered for the NILO (Naval Intelligence Liason Officer) position at Ha Tien on the Cambodian border from February - October 1970. He held the rank of Lieutenant (0-3) during his time in Vietnam. He was involved in the removal of Viet Cong and NVA forces form Nui Da Dong Mountain and the Invasion of Cambodia. H. Lawrence Serra was awarded the Bronze Star, two Air Medals, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy/Marine Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, the Amred Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with three stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Civil Actions Medal and the National Defense Medal. After his service in Vietnam Mr. serra opened a law practice.
