DVD contains lecture on Army Aviation during the Vietnam War presented by Colonel Kirby Lawson and Lieutenant Colonel Joe Schaffer in 1986.
Biographical / Historical
Kirby lawson was born in 1937, in Pennsylvania. He volunteered for the Army, ROTC at Bucknell Universtiy in 1960. He served for more than 29 years, two of which were spent in Southeast Asia. From 1966-1967 he served in the 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division as an Aviation Officer in the area of Lai Khe. Then from 1969-1970 he was in the 227th Assault Helicopter BN as a Company Commander for the 'C' company in the area of Phuc Vinh. Hew was a captain from 1966-1967, then a major from 1969-1970.
