CD contains a Power Point presentation of Allan Wentworth's service in Vietnam with Coast Guard Squadron One, Division 13 at Cat Lo on the USGC POINT PARTRIDGE (WPB 82305) from February through September 1969 with the United States Coast Guard March 'Semper Paratus' as background music.

Biographical / Historical

Allan Wentworth was born in 1943 in Oakland, California. He volunteered for the United States Coast Guard in 1967 serving three years active duty and four years in the reserves totalling seven years. Wentworth was assigned to Lamar from 1967-68 and Point Partridge from February 1969-September 1969. During his career he held the position of Executive officer at Point Partridge and the position of Communications Officer at the Coast Guard Division 13 Republic of Vietnam. He was stationed at the US Navy Base, Lat Lo, Vietnam. He was with the U.S. Navy Task Force 115 'Market Time.' Throughout his service in Southeast Asia, Wentworth held the rank of Lieutentant (jg) with the Coast Guard Reserve. He was involved in operation Market Time and U.S. Navy Task Force 115. In Vietnam, Wentworth received the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star as well as the Vietnam Campaign Medal. In July of 1975 he was honorably discharged at the rank of Lieutenant. Currently, Allan Wentworth does not belong to any Vietnam Veteran Associations. Since his discharge from the Coast Guard, Wentworth went on to obtain an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Personal statement prepared by Allen Wentworth: 'I had a relatively easy tour in Vietnam, but thought you folks would like to have these pictures. The U.S. Coast Guard focused relatively small in the war effort. I had a normal tour in the war zone but wanted to leave my photos in your collection. My military service there was uneventful.'
