Biographical / Historical

Harvey Edmund Payment (18 December 1939 – 26 December 2014) was born in Detroit, Michigan and later resided in Palmer, Alaska and Boise, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Bien Hoa Air Base, Vietnam, where he personally filmed a rocket attack. He likely served under the 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing, which was the host wing at Bien Hoa during 1969.

After returning from Vietnam, he maintained a long connection to the Air Force through Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and lived for many years in the Mat-Su Valley, Alaska area before retiring in Idaho.
