Biographical / Historical

Gary Roush was born in 1944 in Ohio. He volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1967 and served as four years of active duty with one of those years in Vietnam. While in the U.S Army he was assigned to 242 Assault Support Helicopter Co. from May 1968 to May 1969. Roush participated in the Tet Offensive in 1969. During his service he was awarded the following medals Bronze Star, Seventeen Air Medals, and the Army Commendation Medal. Roush also achieved the rank of Captain by the time of his discharge from the Army in 1971. After his service he was employed by Corning Incorporated as a manager for thirty-one years and is an active member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association and the Vietnam Helicopter Crew Member Association.
