Scope and Contents

DVD titled 'Sound of My Violin' recalls the My Lai Massacre and the establishment of the Peace Park at My Lai to memorialize the victims on the 30th anniversary of the massacre. The story also focuses on the return of Hugh Thompson and Larry Colburn, two Americans who helped save villagers from the massacre, to the village.

Biographical / Historical

Roy M. Boehm was born on August, 28 1947 in Oakland, California. He volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1966. Boehm served a total of two years and eleven months with eighteen of those months in Vietnam. He was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division where his duties included liaison coordinator of troop movement in Cu Chi. Boehm was also station in Dau Tieng and Vung Tau. He was discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant.
