Biographical / Historical
Howard D. Horton was born March 25, 1947 in Houston, TX. He volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1967. Horton did five years of active duty service and was in Vietnam from October 1969 to March 1970. He was assigned to 108th Artillery Group in Dong Ha as a pilot. During his military career Horton held the ranks of Warrant Officer, Chief Warrant Officer, 2nd Lieutenant, and 1st Lieutenant. He was discharged in August 1972. Horton currently belongs to Vietnam Helicopter Pilot Association.
