Biographical / Historical

Dale Nachreiner served as a hospital corpsman in Vietnam with the 2nd Battalion, 5th, Marines from February 1969 to February 1970. Nachreiner stayed in the U.S. Navy Reserves after his Vietnam service and graduated with a BS in Economics and Political Science in December 1973. He was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1975 while attending graduate school at Georgia State University, where he received a Masters in Hospital Administration in 1977. Nachreiner then served as a Medical Service Corps officer in the Navy until his retirement in January 1992. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
