Approximately one and a half linear feet of legal documents pertain to the case of Maliszewska v. USA Civil Action #A74-1526 where Benjamin Stanczyk represented the widow of those sailors killed in the bombing of a Polish ship on 20 December 1972 as a result of the United States' mining of Haiphong Harbor. The incident resulted in the deaths of four Polish sailors and permanent injuries for twenty-four others. Stanczyk still remained involved with trying to gain compensation for the widows at the time of the donation of this collection to the Vietnam Archive in 2009.
