Less than one linear foot of award citations document First Lieutenant Alfred E. Clark, Jr.'s service in Vietnam, June 1969-June 1970. All documentation are originals from the war era and include citations for: the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Medal, and award citations for the Brigade Level.
Biographical / Historical
First Lieutenant Alfred E. Clark, Jr. served in Vietnam from June 1969 to June 1970 as Assistant Senior Advisor, Mobile Advisory Team IV-51, Gia Rai District and as Assistant Regional Forces/Popular Forces Advisor, Bac Lieu Province, IV Corps, Republic of Vietnam. In his first assignment, Lieutenant Clark ensured that Vietnamese units received adequate training in military tactics while in his second assignment, he assisted the Regional and Popular Forces in tactical and logistical improvements.
