Scope and Contents
Less than a quarter of a linear foot of articles and newsletters document Bill Rose's work in Vietnam with the Minh Quy Hospital and Vietnam Christian Service from 1967 and on into the 1970s.
Biographical / Historical
Bill Rose graduated from Amherst College in 1955. Before earning a Master's Degree in Social Work at Bryn Mawr College in 1967, Rose spent four years as a reporter for the Peruvian Times in Lima as well as working in the Congo as a refugee worker with the Red Cross and later the United Nations. After earning his Master's Degree, Rose became a Community Development Social Worker with Vietnam Christian Service. He later became a volunteer at Minh Quy Hospital in Kontum.
