Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a photocopy of an article from the 'Lubbock Avalanche-Journal' in 1968 which discusses the Marine Corps' evacuation from Khe Sanh and highlights a Lubbock Marine named Gary Gordon who served at the base. Also included is one USB flash drive containing audio interviews with soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines who participated in the destruction and systematic withdrawal from Khe Sanh Combat Base from 20 June - 15 July 1968.
