Biographical / Historical
Born in 1940 in San Diego, California, Bernard Fipp volunteered for the United States Coast Guard Reserve in 1963 and then transferred to the United States Navy in 1964, where he served for six (6) years. He was assigned to the USS Intrepid and served with the Flying AAC’s Attack Squadron 34 (Skyhawks) while holding the MOS of Pilot. Bernard Fipp saw combat while flying missions over North Vietnam and earned multiple medals, ribbons, and commendations before being discharged in 1969 with the rank of Lt. After Vietnam, Bernard Fipp became an Airline Pilot and a Real Estate Broker.
