Scope and Contents
Approximately 500 slides taken by Warren G. Reed who was the Inspector General of III Corps in 1964 - 1965. The slides show Nha Trang, Da Lat, Bangkok, Cheo Reo, An Khe, Pleiku and Saigon.
Biographical / Historical
Born in 1920 in Dallas, Texas, Warren Reed volunteered for the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 and from 1951 to 1967. He served a total of twenty (20) years. He saw combat in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, earning multiple medals, ribbons and commendations. In Vietnam, he was stationed at Nha Trang and served as Inspector General of III Corps before retiring in 1967 with the rank of Lt. Colonel. After Vietnam, Warren Reed worked in Civil Service for the Army at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and later wrote and published books.
