Collection consists of one DVD-ROM containing Maxine Milam's presentation 'From Cotton Fields to Rice Fields: Four Months in Vietnam' given to the Lubbock Women's Club on September 25, 2012.
Biographical / Historical
Maxine Milam was born in 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. She is the wife of Dr. Ron Milam, a Professor of History at Texas Tech University who served in Vietnam as an ARVN advisor in 1971. In 2011, Maxine accompanied Ron to Vietnam where they lived in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) for four months while he taught 'America's Historical Role in International Relations' at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
