Scope and Contents
One copy of a paper titled 'Secret Soldiers-Shadow Warriors Portraits in Courage: Snapshot of Special Operations from 1966 to 1973' written by Don Moody. The paper talks about civilian and military special operations forces like the CIA, Air America, Raven FACs (Forward Air Controllers), and the Son Tay Raid.
Biographical / Historical
Born in 1941 in Gatesville, Texas, Timothy Woodlock volunteered for the United States Air Force in 1961 and served for over twenty (20) years. After training, he was assigned to 432nd MMS (Material Maintenance Squadron). He was later assigned to the DET 1, 56th Air Command Wing and assigned to duties in Thailand, where he held the rank of E4. He was later assigned to weapons rearmament, loading weapons on T28 aircraft in Laos. He earned multiple medals, ribbons and commendations before retiring in 1981 with the rank of Master Sgt. After Vietnam, Timothy Woodlock worked in civilian jobs and retired in 2005.
