Scope and Contents
One copy of the unit history for the Amphibious Ready Group/Special Landing Forces 76.5 Surgical Team Bravo from 1966 through 1967 donated by Michael J. Warner. The report includes information about the history of the team, how it was created, and how they set up their operating rooms and medical facilities. It also includes statistical information about medical procedures performed by the unit, memos about proposed treatment methods for specific wounds, a floor plan of one of the hospital ships, and lists of supplies used by the team.
Biographical / Historical
Born in 1948, Michael Warner volunteered for the United States Navy and served for over eleven (11) years. After training, he was assigned to the SRG/SLF Surgical Evacuation Team, Bravo Task force 765, with an MOS of Surgical Technician and Medical Evacuation Crewman with the rank of E4. Michael Warner was stationed at the Da Nang Naval Hospital, Vietnam. He received multiple medals, ribbons and commendations before being discharged in 1976 with the rang of HM1. After Vietnam, Michael Warner returned to college, earning a degree in business. He is a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and the American Legion.
