Scope and Contents
One DVD-R donated to the archive by Brian Deering. The DVD contains scans of the Daily Intelligence Summaries from the 1st Cavalry Division from the time of the Tet Offensive and date from February 13, 1968 through June 30, 1968.
Biographical / Historical
Born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1941, Fredrick Bergerson entered the United States Army in 1962 through the ROTC program and served for six (6) years. After training, he was assigned to the 191st Military Intelligence Detachment, 1st Cavalry Division stationed at An Khe, Vietnam where he held the rank of Captain. He was involved in battles including Operation Pershing, Operation Pegasus and Operation Delaware where he earned multiple medals, ribbons and commendations before being discharged in 1968. After Vietnam, he returned to college and earned a PHD degree. He now teaches at Whittier College.
