Scope and Contents
One copy of the book Boocoo Dinky Dow: My Short, Crazy Vietnam War donated by Julie Titone. The book was written by Titone and Grady C. Myers, and recounts Myers' experiences during his service in Vietnam; it also features Myers' illustrations.
Biographical / Historical
Grady Myers was born on October 6, 1949 and grew up in Boise, Idaho. He served in Vietnam with the 4th Infantry Division and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered during a 1969 ambush in the Plei Trap Valley. He attended Boise State College and the Burnley School for Professional art in Seattle. He went on to a career as a newspaper artist with The Idaho Satesman in Boise and The Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Washington. His work is included in the collection of the national Veterans art Museum in Chicago. Julie Titone is a writer and photographer whose work has appeared in regional, national, and international publications.
