Less than a linear foot of slides taken by Ann N. Philiben during her service at the 36th Evacuation Hospital at Vung Tau Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.
Biographical / Historical
Anne N. Philiben became a volunteer in the United States Army in 1966. She served 15 months in Vietnam where she was stationed in Vung Tau as the 1st Lieutenant Medical Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and was involved in the Tet Offensive of 1968. She earned the Army Commendation Medal and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry for her service in Vietnam. Anne Philiben retired from the United States Army in 1988 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
