Scope and Contents

Less than one-quarter linear foot of photographs, various documents and correspondence, and one book detail First Lieutenant Terry Turner's service as an advisor with MACV-CORDS Advisory Team 84, MAT IV-32 during the Vietnam Conflict, April 1969-1970. Photographs and documents date from the war period. The book, Once a Warrior King, was written post-war by Turner (under the pen name David Donovan) and documents the advisory experience from his perspective.

Biographical / Historical

First Lieutenant Terry Turner served in Vietnam from April 1969 through 1970 in the Mekong Delta region. He served as an advisor in the MACV-CORDS system and was assigned to Advisory Team 84, the province team of Kien Phong Province. He became the team leader of MAT IV-32 and the district senior advisor of Dong Tien District in Kien Phong Province.
