Ten reels of Super 8 film document Raymond Fisher's tours of duty in Vietnam, particularly his second tour of duty with the 723rd Maintenance Battalion in support of the 23rd (Americal) Division, October 1967- October 1968.

Biographical / Historical

Raymond L. Fisher served in the U.S. Army as part of Detachment 1 Stratcom in Udorn, Thailand (September 1964 - November 1965) and in Bangkok, Thailand (November 1965 - April 1966). He then served in Nha Trang, Vietnam with the 213th Signal Detachment, 1st Signal Brigade (May - October 1966) and returned to Vietnam to serve with the 723rd Maintenance Battalion in support of the 23rd (Americal) Division (October 1967 - October 1968). He later served with the 558th Supply and Service Battalion in Kanchanaburi, Thailand (December 1968 - July 1969) and finished his time in Southeast Asia with the 379th Signal Battalion in Samae San, Thailand (July 1969 - November 1970).
