Biographical / Historical
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1946, Allen Fitzpatrick was drafted into the United States Army and served two (2) years. After training, he was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 2nd Artillery AWAP where he held an MOS of 13F20 Cannoneer and Gun Loader while being stationed at Phu Loi, Vietnam. He held the rank of E3 and was later promoted to the rank of E4 while seeing combat with the 1st Infantry Division in various actions. Allen Fitzpatrick earned multiple medals, ribbons and commendations before being discharged in 1967. After Vietnam, Allen worked for a wholesale electrical company for 46 years before retiring. He is a member of the National Dusters, Quads & Searchlight Association.
