Biographical / Historical
Born in 1923 in Zoe, Oklahoma, Robert Pace volunteered for the United States Army Air Corp in 1943 and served over thirty (30) years as a pilot. In Southeast Asia and Vietnam he held the rank of Lt. Col. in the MACV (Miltary Assistance Command, Vietnam) and trained members of the South Vietnamese Air Force while flying over sixty sorties. He was stationed at Nha Trang, South Vietnam. While serving in Vietnam Robert Pace earned multiple medals, ribbons and commendations before being discharged to retirement in 1974 as a Colonel in the United States Air Force.
