Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a collection of letters received by John Faber from fellow soldiers during their Vietnam service. The soldiers went through basic training and Tiger Land (i.e., Fort Polk, Louisiana, and The Joint Readiness Training Center for combat readiness) together with Faber. The letters are dated December 1967 to August 1968.
Biographical / Historical
John Faber served as an infantryman with A Company of 2/7 Cav. Faber served in Vietnam from December of 1967 until January of 1968 when he was wounded by stepping in a punji pit.
