Scope and Contents
The collection consists of less than a quarter of a linear foot of textual records, newsletters, artifacts, and photographs documenting Chief Warrant Officer Marshall Clarke's service with the 116th Assault Helicopter Company at Cu Chi, Vietnam from December 1967 to December 1968. The records include a clipping, the program from Clarke's funeral, and both the graduation exercises program booklet and roster from Clarke's Warrant Officer Rotary Wing Aviator class at Fort Rucker. The materials date from 1966-1968 and 2015.Biographical / Historical
Marshall E. Clarke, Jr. was born in 1946 in Portsmouth, VA. He volunteered for the U.S. Army in November 1965, serving for 20 years in Army Transportation. He served as a Huey helicopter pilot in Cu Chi from December 1967 to December 1968 and then in Aviation Maintenance from April 1969 to June 1969. Clarke retired from the army in 1986.- 22
