Scope and Contents
Approximately half of a linear foot of documents, photographs, electronic media, a book manuscript, a slide, and an article accumulated by Mike Law from Vietnam Helicopter Pilot Association members including David L. Eastman, John Gurice, Donivan Erhart, Tim Stidham, and Lloyd Newell. The documents include a letter written by Darwin Beauchamp recounting his service in Vietnam as the commander of the 8th Transportation Company (Light Helicopter), 31st Transportation Company (Light Helicopter), and 57th Transportation Company (Light Helicopter) in 1962 to 1963. The documents in the collection also include photocopies of photographs collected by John Foley, who was the Public Information Officer for the 57th Transportation Company and the 120th Aviation Company. The photographs show Piaseck H-21 helicopters in action to include crew, armaments, medical evacuation missions, ARVN and US troops in action, aerial photographs, and photographs of a pet tiger.- 2
