Scope and Contents
The collection consists of approximately one linear foot of artifacts, newspapers, clippings, periodicals, newsletters, military records, orientation to Vietnam information, Chieu Hoi leaflets, correspondence, posters, a map, and various ephemera documenting Marilyn Huepers Baierlipp's service as a U.S. Army nurse with the 27th Surgical Hospital at Chu Lai from 20 March 1969 to 13 March 1970.Items of note include a large poster used by a boyfriend of Baierlipp to write her a letter in a series of installments. The installments were written between April 2 and April 6, 1969.
