Scope and Contents
The collection consists of four bound volumes of Công-Báo Việt-Nam Cộng-Hòa, the daily proceedings of South Vietnam's Constituent Assembly (Quốc Hội Lập Hiến), from December 1966 to June 1968. Also included is an oral history interview conducted with Ambassador Lambertson.Biographical / Historical
U.S. Ambassador David Lambertson had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Department of State, which included working in the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy in Saigon, 1965-1968. Lambertson also served in Indonesia, 1969-1971, and served as a member of the U.S. delegation to the Paris Peace Talks, 1971-1973. He later served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Southeast Asia, 1987-1990, and was involved in POW/MIA issues with the government of Vietnam. Lambertson served as U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, 1991-1995.- 1
