Scope and Contents
The collection consists of artifacts documenting Master Sergeant Charley V. Neely's USAF service with the 362nd Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron in Pleiku.
Biographical / Historical
Master Sergeant Charley V. Neely served 27 years in both the Army Air Corps and U.S. Air Force, after which he retired in early 1969. He served in World War II as a tail gunner on a B-25 in the 8th Air Force, where he flew 35 combat missions. While he did not see action during the Korean War, Neely did serve a full tour (12 months) in Vietnam as a First Sergeant of the 362nd Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron in Pleiku.
