The collection consists of approximately 4 linear feet of materials documenting Captain Nathan Lanford's U.S. Army service with A Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division in the Central Highlands around Kontum and Dak To from 1967-1968. The materials include artifacts; artwork; Christmas cards; a safe conduct pass; maps; war trophy authorization paperwork; a C-ration cookbook; service records; personal narratives; clippings; a list of 4th Infantry POW/MIA; daily staff journals; after action reports; Department of the Army pamphlets; morning reports; correspondence; photographs; slides; and moving images.
