Scope and Contents

The collection consists of approximately 2.5 linear feet of materials accumulated by Sergeant Michael O'Connor to create a website documenting the history of the men who served with the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry under Colonel William Haponski in Vietnam. The materials include maps; electronic media; photographs and images; articles and clippings; periodicals; newspapers; moving images; memos and correspondence; letters of appreciation and commendation; personal narratives; event programs; booklets; field manuals; training and reference materials; daily staff journals; morning reports; operational reports; after action reports; casualty reports; unit histories; pay vouchers; financial records; military orders; award citations and certificates; flyers and pamphlets; etchings; service records; rosters; medical records; and ephemera. The materials are dated predominately 1956, 1964-1975, 2001-2006, and 2011-2013.
