Scope and Contents
The collection consists of slides, photographs, and a video documenting Colonel John H. Madison, Jr.'s U.S. Army career, including his involvement with Operation Big Lift in Europe; his leadership as XO of 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division in Vietnam; his work as a negotiator with the North Vietnamese; and his work organizing the final evacuation of Saigon from 29-30 April 1975. The materials are dated predominately 1962-1968 and 1974-1975.
