The collection consists of approximately 3 linear feet of materials documenting John Eslinger's service in Vietnam as a civilian contractor working with NHA repairing helicopters from January to July 1971 and December 1972 to May 1973. The materials include slides and photographs, museum objects, audio cassettes, newsletters (post-war associations), and documents: personal narratives; information bulletins; guides and manuals; memos and correspondence; Army Subject Schedules; ADTIC publications; lesson plans and training materials; periodicals; newsletters; travel authorization forms; DOD Specialized Flight information publications; directories; certificates; selective service records; artifacts; receipts; passport; financial records; contracts; notes; NHA employment papers; sketches; catalogs; presentations; and ephemera. Mr. Eslinger also completed an interview with the VNCA Oral History Project.
