Scope and Contents
The collection consists of approximately a quarter of a linear foot of materials documenting Charles Leister's service as a police advisor with USAID at the American Embassy in Vietnam, where he worked to assist the Saigon Municipal Police. The materials include greeting cards; flyers and pamphlets; propaganda leaflets; event invitations; posters; clippings; newspapers; newsletters; periodicals; images; police reports; correspondence; records pertaining to Leister's work to find a sponsor for John Tsin Chin's education in the U.S.; notes; photographs; and maps. The materials are dated predominately 1964-1967.- 1
