Scope and Contents
Approximately 3 linear feet of materials documenting Robert Alan Brackenhoff's U.S. Army service as a helicopter pilot with the 174th Assault Helicopter Company from 1970-1971 stationed at Duc Pho and later Quang Tri during Operation Lam Son 719. The materials include photographs, slides, artifacts, and electronic media. Also included are slides given to Brackenhoff by fellow soldier Dick Cordell.Biographical / Historical
Robert A. Brackenhoff was born in 1947 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He joined the United States Army in 1970. During his time in Vietnam, Brackenhoff was a helicopter pilot. Brackenhoff was discharged in 1972. He passed away in 2021.- 3
