The collection consists of one copy of a volume of information and recollections related to 1st Lieutenant Brian Lee Webber's USMC service in Vietnam. Also included are a photograph and a Washington Post article regarding Lt. Webber. The materials are dated 2017-2022 or are otherwise undated.
Biographical / Historical
1st Lieutenant Brian Lee Webber was born in 1944 at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA. He volunteered for the United States Marine Corps in 1967. He served as the Platoon Commander and Executive Officer of India Company, 3/26 Marines stationed at Phu Bai. He was involved in Operation Meade River. He received numerous awards including the Silver Star, 2 Purple Hearts, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. He was killed in action on December 8, 1968.
