Scope and Contents
The collection consists of one narrative documenting Specialist Arthur J. Donoghue's U.S. Army service as a radio telephone operator and infantryman with the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam. The narrative was written by Dylan Hendy and was the result of an interview he conducted with Specialist Donoghue.
Biographical / Historical
Specialist Arthur J. Donoghue was born June 24, 1948 in North Cambridge, MA. He volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1968 and served for two years. He served as a radio telephone operator and infantryman with the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam. He received the Army Commendation Medal with V. After his military service, he worked as an historian at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, MA.
