The collection consists of photographs and slides documenting Specialist Robert Fee's military service in Korea and Vietnam from 1964-1967.

Biographical / Historical

Specialist 5 Robert Appert Fee was born in Duluth, MN in September 1943. He joined the U.S. Army in 1964 and completed both basic training and advanced training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. He served as a clerk typist, an administrative specialist, and a personnel management specialist for various units including the 159th Engineering Group, the 14th Engineer Battalion, the 8th Engineer Battalion, the 2nd Engineer Battalion, USARPAC in Vietnam (January - June 1966), and the Fourth U.S. Army Corps. He was honorably discharged from active duty and joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 1967. After his military service, he received an accounting degree from the College of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, MN and worked as an accountant for several different companies. He married in 1970, had three children, and divorced in 1982. He died November 10, 1994 in Saint Paul, MN.
