Scope and Contents
The collection consists of slides documenting 2nd Lieutenant Charles Rossteuscher's U.S. Army service as a radar repairman in Vietnam from 1966-1967.
Biographical / Historical
2nd Lieutenant Charles F. Rossteuscher was born September 6, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965. He served as a radar repairman in Vietnam from 1966-1967. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1967. After his military service, he apprenticed as a jeweler. He received a degree from California State Los Angeles in Industrial Arts and a Master's degree in Education from California Lutheran College. He taught in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 15 years and then became a dean at Sun Valley Junior High School. He died April 22, 2007.
